08.12.08 Bill & Denise | Engagement Session

It’s always a bit tricky scheduling an evening session at the beach in San Diego during the summer months, often times the marine layer will roll in and ruin the sunset. Denise and I rescheduled their session a couple of times before we had what appeared was going to be an ideal evening. We started out at their home in Oceanside and then headed down to the beach where Bill had proposed. The weather was absolutely beautiful and Bill and Denise didn’t have any problem just relaxing and enjoying the evening with me snapping away. I can’t wait for their wedding in November, I know it’s going to be a lot of fun.

06.10.08 Juan & Jessica | Engagement Session

When deciding on a location for engagement sessions, I like to find an area that has a variety of backdrops either within walking distance or a quick drive so that we can get a few different looks in regard to the photographs. Other than that, I try to help the couple find a setting that they feel will best reflect their personality and style. For Juan and Jessica’s session we started off at Windansea Beach in La Jolla and then drove up to the La Jolla Cove, two iconic San Diego locations that provide a variety of beach and park settings. Despite the breezy and cool conditions, Juan and Jessica were both so relaxed in front of the camera, I’m certainly looking forward to their wedding in September.

08.19.07 Tad & Alison | Engagement Session

I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in San Diego than with a couple like Tad and Alison at Cabrillo National Monument. They were both so relaxed and fun to work with, I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding in February at the Lake San Marcos Resort. Truth be told, it’s difficult not to capture amazing photographs at Cabrillo. If you’re ever in question as to how beautiful San Diego really is, just make the short drive up to Cabrillo.
